Defining National Identity: Estonia

Hello everyone and welcome back to 3minutesEstonia! What makes up a person’s identity? We all have unique aspects that make up our own identity. For example, your name, religion, culture, race, and so on. So what makes up a nation’s identity? 3 min Briefing Estonia

Here is a three minute video about the country Estonia.

Welcome!

Welcome to 3minuteEstonia,  Here you will learn about Estonia and its participation in Eurovision. Estonia is a beautiful country bordered by Latvia and Russia. I chose this country because I was intrigued on the technology they used during their performance at the 2018 Eurovision contest.  Estonia has participated in the Eurovision contest twenty-three times since its first entry in 1994. Elina Nechayeva performed "La forza" which is composed by Mihkel Mattisen, and Timo Vendt. Nechayeva was known for her outfit this year as light projections were beamed on her dress. It measured about 23 feet and weigh about 17 pounds, it took eight people to help her get on stage. However, this tactic worked for Estonia as they finished eighth out of the twenty-six countries that competed.  Citations: Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest. (2018).
